She’s the founder of House of Notoire, a Communications professional, entrepreneur, and avid traveler. She’s been hosting the HONeys Retreats since 2017. As an expert traveler, having lived in 5 and traveled to over 30 countries around the world, she’ll navigate you along this trip. Leading you through your well-being journey, adventures, and a guaranteed good time. If you’re an entrepreneur, creative, or seeking support and inspiration for your career you can book a 1-on-1 business consult with her as an add-on during the retreat.

ITINERARY

Welcome to Ivory Coast!
The first day will be an easy day as guests may be arriving throughout the day. The program will kick off at 17:00 with traditional drinks and an easy welcome, with games and getting to know each other. We may end the evening with a tour through the neighborhood.
As most flights into Abidjan arrive in the evening, we recommend flying on November 8th so you can get the full (daytime) experience and we can assist you in booking an extra night of accommodation. However, if that’s not possible we will of course tailor the welcome day to everyone’s arrival.

Exploring Grand-Bassam
We'll start the day early with a group breakfast and guided meditation. Then we will go on our way to visit Grand-Bassam. Grand-Bassam is a resort town near the city of Abidjan. It's known for its palm-packed beach stretching along the Atlantic coastline. The old French-colonial town center, once the nation’s capital, is filled with decaying 19th- and 20th-century houses. We'll visit The National Museum of Costume which displays examples of traditional dress in a former governor’s palace. Visit the Palace and have a chance to greet the royal family. Discover the local artisans, from sculptors, painters, to clothing makers and more. We'll get the chance to go for a swim, so bring your swimsuit and end the night with dinner by the beach.

Beach resort day
We'll start the day with a group breakfast and meditation, then head to the city from which we'll take the boat to a beach resort. We'll spend our day there exploring, enjoying our own private pool party, and watching the sunset before heading back to our villa in the city. Later that night we might go out, for whoever is up for it!

Cultural Immersion Day
Early rise to head to a forest estate located 50 minutes from Abidjan, for a day of a total change of scenery: between hiking, tasting local dishes, and various ecotourism activities. Wear a comfortable outfit and shoes you can walk in. Don't forget your swimsuit as we'll try a natural clay bath, which is recognized for its cosmetic and antiseptic properties. During the rest of the afternoon, you can also participate in various activities: zip lines, slides, swings, and more. You won't be disappointed! We'll then head back to our villa to freshen up and chill, before going into the city for dinner and drinks.

Day Trip to Assinie-Mafia
Ready to see one of the most beautiful beaches in Ivory Coast? Today we're headed to Assinie-Mafia, where we'll enjoy a luxury brunch and a day party. Soak in the sun on a breathtaking beach and explore this beautiful beach town.

City Day
Free time in the morning to relax or explore as you wish. In the afternoon we will show you why they say “Babi est doux” (Ivory Coast is sweet)! Today we'll show you around town and show you the good life in the heart of Abidjan. We’ll end the day with a fancy dinner (dress up!), followed by a closing party to celebrate the past week and the new friends we've made.

Enjoy the last day in Ivory Coast!
This is the last day of the retreat in Ivory Coast. The retreat is almost over, but we aren’t done yet! We will have our daily breakfast routine and last mindful meditation and gratitude session together. We’ll spend the day relaxing by the pool, fill our bellies one more time with great food, have our farewell drinks, and depart for the airport in time.

We require a deposit of €650 to confirm your spot. You can choose to pay the retreat package in full or we also offer payment plans, which you can select when booking through our booking page. Should you require a customized booking plan, please get in touch with us at hi@houseofnotoire.com

We offer solo rooms and shared rooms. The latter will be shared with one other guest, should you want to share the room with a friend then please mention their name by leaving a comment when booking and we’ll make sure you stay with your roomie!

Visas
You will need to get a visa before you travel. It is possible to apply for a visa online, available in English. After registering and paying online, the visa is collected on arrival at Abidjan airport. You’ll need to apply for the e-visa online several days before your date of travel to allow time for your application to be processed. Make sure you follow instructions on the website carefully to avoid any difficulties with airlines or immigration authorities.Passport validity
Your passport should be valid for a minimum period of six months from the date of entry into Côte d’Ivoire.COVID-19
Passengers to Côte d’Ivoire are not required to show a negative PCR test on arrival provided they hold valid proof of vaccination. Passengers who are not fully vaccinated are required to provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test result, dated a maximum of 72 hours prior to arrival.Also passengers must complete a government-issued form prior to arrival at a cost of 2,000 XOF (€3), available online here: https://deplacement-aerien.gouv.ci/ Further instructions on COVID-19 related protocols for arrivals are available on the same website.

Depending on the destination, we recommend afternoon arrivals and departures at any time on the final day. We arrange airport transfers which are included in the trip, so you have flexibility in choosing which flights work best for you (on the retreat program start and end dates). However, on the last day, check-out will usually be around 11 am. If most all flights are in the evening, we still have a full-day program to enjoy before departure.

We use a secure booking platform called WeTravel to process all of our bookings. Through this booking platform, you can use a credit card or a bank transfer to book your stay. We can also send an invoice for those who wish to declare the retreat as a business expense.

Yes! We offer custom payment plans tailored to your specific financial needs. We can create a payment plan with monthly payment plans leading up to the retreat, every other week, or every other month depending on your needs. We can split up the remaining balance into up to 6 payments. You can choose a payment plan through our booking system or email us for a customized plan at hi@houseofnotoire. Please note that your balance must be paid off one month prior to the retreat start date.

We put a lot of care and months of preparation into organizing these retreats before your arrival and during your stay, so you get the best experience imaginable. Should you require to cancel your participation, our cancellation policy looks as follows:
Within 24hrs: full refund, including deposit.
After 24hrs of receiving your booking confirmation, the €650 deposit is non-refundable and you are entitled to the following (minus admin charges) depending on the date of cancellation prior to the retreat start date.
Within 120 days: a full refund.
Within 120 - 90 days: a 50% refund
Within 60 - 90 days: a 25% refund
Less than 60 days: no refund.
